Personal thoughts & opinions
If I were to live in this dystopia I wouldn't know what to do.Id be a constant wreck.Who can live in a place where you can't have a variety personal opinions or let them be heard. Who can live in a place where theres sucha thing as "Thought Police" where they actually burn all your records ,kill you, make it look like you never existed and "Vaporise" you.I think that Winston is strong for actually writing down his thoughts and true feelings about Big Brother because if deep down Winston doesn't like Big Brother then I'm sure there are many more people who feel the same exact way as Winston. -Liz P.

Liz: Interesting ideas. What is it about our society that is like that of 1984? Maybe it's not to that extreme, but how does the government in our own country keep tabs on its citizens?
What will make it hard for Winston to find out if there are others like him? What is it about human nature that would allow for such a government to come into being?
I strongly agree with you that it would be quite difficult for myself to even live in such an environment that keeps you from living your own live. The most disturbing thing that I think about this situation is that their government lies to their own people and keeps everything that actually happened in the pass from them. I do have on question or prediction as you continue reading. Do you think that the governemnt will ever get changed or overthrown by the Brotherhood from Emmanuel Goldstein?
