Dystopia
My first impressions on 1984 are that its a terrible world to live in. 1984 starts out with a theme like misery. Its a world totally oppisite of ours. They enjoy war, crime, pain, crying and pure misery. It is sure to be a dystopia. In this book I feel like theres one person who realizes what type of world it is and wonders what it would be like if things were a lot better off and people actually started enjoying the good in people and things such as peace. I think when Winston starts writing his journal its like a cry for help , he needs to tell someone how he feels but he can't because of the "Thought Police", so he writes it in his journal to get it all out. I predict that maybe throughout the book the dystopia will get better and possibly turn out to be a world like ours today.

Liz, I agree with what you thought about the book in the begining. It does seem like an awful place to live in. It is also really strange how they like things like pain and misery. THat's all i have time for. BYE LIZZZZZZZ <333333333333333333333333
